Documents

Los Angeles has two zoning codes

Chapter 1A, the new Zoning Code, applies only to lots zoned under it; its zones are written in two bracket sets, [Form-Frontage-Standards][Use-Density] (§ 1.3.1). Every other lot is governed by Chapter 1, whose zones look like C2-1-L-D or R4-2-D. Chapter 1A's Article 13 (administrative procedures) applies to both (§ 1.4.2).
