    Applies: Charged each time a unit is registered.

    Each time a unit is registered pursuant to the provisions of this chapter, the owner of such unit shall pay a fee to cover the city's cost of administering this program, in an amount established by resolution of the city council.
Registration
  • Register the units with the city.
    Applies: Initial registration for owners of 4 or more rented residential dwelling units.

    the owners of four or more rented residential dwelling units shall register such units with the city, on a form to be established by the city.
  • Register the unit within 30 days after the event.
    Applies: Construction of a new residential unit, acquisition of a residential unit, or conversion from owner-occupied to rental makes the unit subject to registration.

    the owner of such unit shall register such unit with the city, on a form to be established by the city, within thirty (30) days after such event causes the owner to be subject to such registration requirement.
  • File a new registration form within 30 days after the transfer.
    Applies: Transfer of ownership of a registered unit.
