  • A written permit application is required before the sale; the City Council may set a reasonable fee.

    To obtain a permit to conduct a garage sale, the applicant must file a written application for a permit with the city prior to the sale.
Sales per year
  • No more than 3 permits per calendar year.
    Applies: Per applicant or residence.

    No more than three such permits may be issued to one applicant or residence during any calendar year.
Signs
  • No more than 2 signs, each 4 square feet or less.
    Applies: On the property where the sale is held.

    No more than two signs of not more than four square feet each may be displayed on the premises where the garage sale is being conducted;
  • 2 signs, each 2 square feet or less, with the property owner's permission.
    Applies: Off the sale property.

    Two signs of not more than two square feet each may be displayed off the premises, provided the permission to erect the signs is received from the property owners upon whose property the signs are being placed.
  • Signs may go up no more than 2 days before the sale and must come down when it closes.

    No sign shall be exhibited for more than two days prior to the day such sale is to commence. All signs shall be removed at the close of the sale.
