False alarms before a fee	Up to 6 false alarms within a 6-month period are not excessive. § 9.20.110 · code text The number of false alarms to be considered "excessive" as described in subsections (1) and (2) of this section is any false alarm in excess of six false alarms within any six-month period.
Alarm permit	An alarm permit is required. § 9.20.050 · code text It shall be unlawful for any person to use, install, or cause to be installed an alarm system on any premises within the City without first applying for and receiving an alarm permit.
When a permit can be revoked	The permit can be revoked after more than 6 false alarms. Applies: Within any 6-month period. § 9.20.110 · code text Any alarm system, either silent or audible, that emits more than six false alarms within any six-month period shall be deemed an "immediate safety hazard" and by recommendation of the Rio Dell Police Department the alarm permit shall be revoked.
