Leaf blowers and equipment	Noise at the property line may not exceed the ambient base level by 5 dB(A). Applies: Machinery, equipment, pumps, fans, compressors, air conditioners or similar mechanical devices. § 9.40.100 · code text It is unlawful for any person to operate, cause to operate or permit the operation of any machinery, equipment, device, pump, fan, compressor, air conditioning apparatus, or similar mechanical device in any manner so as to create any noise which would cause the noise level at the property line of any property to exceed the ambient noise base level by five dB(A).
