Permit
  • A permit is required, with a nonrefundable application fee set by City Council resolution.

    A permit shall be issued, without tax, upon submission of an application and filing of the affidavit mentioned in subsection B.5. Each application for a garage sale permit shall be accompanied by a nonrefundable application fee established by the City Council Fee Resolution.
Sales per year
  • At most 3 per residence per calendar year, and no more than 1 permit per residence in 3 months.

    Garage sales may be conducted no more than 3 times per residence in any calendar year, and no more than 1 permit may be issued per residence in a 3-month period.
Signs
  • No signs on public property; remove legally placed signs each day by the end of the sale.

    No signs advertising a garage sale shall be placed on any public property, including, but not limited to, utility poles, street name signs, traffic signs, trees or walls. The permittee shall remove any and all legally placed advertising signs each day at or before the end of the garage sale.
