PROCUREMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS

27.16.010 Application of chapter.

This Chapter addresses the prequalification of Contractors and subcontractors before the procurement of a Public Works Contract. (Ord. 30308.)

27.16.020 Decision to prequalify.

  • A. The Director has the discretion to decide whether to prequalify Contractors and/or subcontractors for a procurement.

  • B. The Director will exercise the Director's discretion based on an analysis that weighs and balances various factors, including the project cost, complexity, budget and time constraints, the number and quality of bidders, and economic conditions.

27.16.030 Requirements.

The Director will conduct a prequalification in accordance with California Public Contract Code Section 20101, as amended. (Ord. 30308.)
