Changing a historic home	No permits for alteration, demolition or removal are issued while designation is under consideration. § 18.28.130.05 · code text No permits for the alteration, demolition or removal of any improvement, building or structure relative to a proposed cultural resource shall be issued while the designation is still under consideration.
Demolishing an older or historic home	A demolition/relocation permit is required. Applies: Applies to a designated or potential cultural resource. § 18.28.130.07 · code text No person shall carry out or cause to be carried out any demolition or relocation of a designated cultural resources or potential cultural resource without first receiving approval of a demolition/relocation permit from the City. A demolition or relocation permit can be issued 180 days after the City Council denies a certificate of appropriateness. Applies: Applies to a designated or potential cultural resource. The council may shorten the delay for hardship. § 18.28.130.07 · code text A certificate of appropriateness has been applied for and denied and a period of one hundred eighty (180) days has expired from the date of the City Council denial.
