Homes for 6 or fewer
  • Permitted by right in any residential zone.
    Applies: Applies to facilities serving 6 or fewer persons.

    Small residential care facilities (serving six or fewer persons) shall be permitted by right in any residential zone.
  • A Zoning Clearance is required, with no public hearing or notice.
    Applies: Applies to small residential care facilities serving 6 or fewer persons.

    Approval of small residential care facilities (serving six or fewer persons) shall require a Zoning Clearance pursuant to Chapter 21.96.
Distance between homes
  • Facilities must be at least 1,000 feet apart.
    Applies: Applies to a large residential care facility, from any other large residential care facility.

    The proposed large residential care facility shall be located no less than 1,000 feet in distance from any other large residential care facility, as measured property line to property line.
