17.22.010 Regulations generally.

The specific regulations set forth in this chapter shall apply in the C-O districts. (Ord. 657 § 4 (Exh. J), 2023)

17.22.020 Permitted uses.

The following uses shall be permitted in the C-O districts:

  • A. Administrative, professional and business offices;

B. Accessory uses such as pharmacies in connection with medical offices, restaurants which are clearly subordinate to the main use of the building;

C. Parking lots improved in conformity with the standard prescribed for required off-street facilities in Chapter 17.62;

D. Other uses which, in the opinion of the planning director, are similar to and no more offensive than the above-listed uses. (Ord. 657 § 4 (Exh. J), 2023)

17.22.030 Conditional uses.

The following uses shall be permitted only when authorized by a conditional use permit issued in accordance with Chapter 17.72:

A. Any use permitted in the C-1 zone; provided, that the use is integrated within a development primarily devoted to office use;

  • B. Restaurants and on-premises sale of alcoholic beverages where food is served;

  • C. Live entertainment;

D. Nonprofit community theater groups which hold or have applied for a license for the on-sale of alcoholic beverages pursuant to Section 24045.7 of the Alcoholic Beverage Control Act and conform to the use requirements within the C-O zoning district shall be allowed to sell alcoholic beverages to ticket holders for the limited purpose of on-site consumption within the confines of the building in which the permit to operate has been issued, subject to all of the following:

  1. Sale and service of alcoholic beverages shall be in accordance with all applicable state laws and may only occur during intermission, and one hour prior to and one hour after a bona fide theater performance of the theater group. (Ord. 657 § 4 (Exh. J), 2023)

17.22.040 Area, bulk, yard and height regulations.

The following area, bulk and height regulations shall apply in the C-O districts:
