§ 9-3.1001. Purpose (P-O). ¶
The purpose of the Professional Office Zone is to provide a location for business and professional offices, institutions and related services of a less intensive nature than allowed in commercial zones not adjacent to residential areas.

§ 9-3.1002. Uses permitted (P-O). ¶
(a) Business office (including government office, insurance sales and services, real estate sales and services, stockbroker, utility office; excluding retail or wholesale sales, banks, savings and loans and similar financial institutions);
(b) Medical and dental office or laboratory, chiropractor, chiropodist, optometrist;
(c) Pharmacy (excluding manufacture or distribution of pharmaceuticals) only when accessory to a medical office or clinic;
(d) Professional office (including accountant, architect, attorney, engineer, surveyor);
(e) Public utility distribution and transmission line towers and poles and underground facilities for the distribution of gas, water, communications, and electricity.

§ 9-3.1003. Uses permitted subject to securing a use permit (PO).
(a) Ambulance service;
(b) Buildings, facilities and grounds of a utility which are not a permitted use;
(c) Day care centers;
(d) Church;
(e) Hospital supply sales;
(f) Not for profit educational or scientific agency;
(g) Substance abuse clinic/facility;
(h) Twenty-four hour care for seven or more persons;
(i) Veterinary hospital (small animal);
(j) Vocational school; and
(k) Delicatessen, coffee shop or restaurant with or without alcohol sales. (§ 86, Ord. 1095, eff. November 20, 2010; as amended by §§ 8, 9, Ord. 1174, eff. September 20, 2019; and § 12, Ord. 1189, eff. December 2, 2020)
§ 9-3.1004. Height limits (P-O). ¶
The maximum height of buildings in the Professional Office District shall be thirty (30′) feet. (§ 86, Ord. 1095, eff. November 20, 2010)
§ 9-3.1005. Building sites (P-O). ¶
Building sites in the Professional Office (P-O) District shall be a minimum of 1,000 square feet. (§ 86, Ord. 1095, eff. November 20, 2010)
§ 9-3.1006. Yards (P-O). ¶
Where yards border on a major or collector street, the requirements for yards in the Professional Office District shall be as set forth in Article 19 of this chapter, otherwise, there are no requirements. (§ 86, Ord. 1095, eff. November 20, 2010)
