§ 18.03.010. Adoption.

  • A. There is adopted a zoning ordinance for the city as provided by Title 7, Division 1, of the Government Code of the State of California. This title constitutes a short-range precise plan for the use of land consistent with, and implementing the general plan standards.

  • B. The provisions of this title shall apply to all lands and all owners of lands within all of the incorporated area of the city.

§ 18.03.020. Short title.

This title shall be known and cited as the zoning ordinance of the City of Wheatland. In any administrative action taken by any public official under the authority set forth in this title, the term "zoning ordinance," unless further modified, shall also refer to and mean this title. (Ord. 337 Exh. A, 1991)

§ 18.03.030. Purpose of provisions.

The ordinance codified in this title is adopted to promote and protect the public health, safety, comfort, morals, convenience and general welfare; to implement the Wheatland general plan; and to provide for sound and orderly growth and development; and to protect, maintain, and enhance the quality of life within the various residential districts of the city.
