Chapter 9.48 — DENSITY BONUS AND AFFORDABLE HOUSING PROGRAM

§ 9.48.010. Purpose and intent.

  • A. To incorporate the State Density Bonus requirements, as set forth in California Government Code Sections 65915 through 65918 , as amended.

  • B. Increase production of affordable housing, consistent with the city's goals, objectives, and policies.

  • C. Implement the provisions of the city's general plan housing element policies and programs relating to the provision of affordable housing.

§ 9.48.020. Density bonus.

The city of Cathedral City hereby incorporates the rules and regulations of the State's Density Bonus Law, currently codified at Government Code Sections 65915 through 65918 , as amended from time to time.

§ 9.48.030. Procedures for implementation.

The city council of the city of Cathedral City shall adopt, by resolution, procedures for the implementation of this chapter.
