Chapter 19.70 — SWIMMING POOLS, SPAS AND HOT TUBS

§ 19.70.010. Location restrictions. ¶
All swimming pools, spas, and hot tubs shall be located not less than five feet from any property line, measured from the lip of the pool edge. No swimming pool shall be located in the required front yard setback. Heating, filtering, pumping and accessory equipment shall be located not less than five feet from any property line.

§ 19.70.020. Fencing. ¶
All swimming pools, spas and hot tubs shall be enclosed by a wall or fence. Such wall, fence or enclosure shall not be less than five feet in height, with no opening greater than four inches wide. No such fence or wall shall be so constructed as to afford ladder-like access into the pool, spa or hot tub area.

§ 19.70.030. Gate—Ingress and egress. ¶
Ingress and egress provided by a gate in the fence or wall shall also be five feet in height and all such gates shall be self-closing and self-latching. The latch shall be at least four and one-half feet above grade. Such gate, fence or other protective device as required by this chapter shall be installed in such a manner as to comply with all state and local fire exit and building code requirements.
