17.06.010 Establishment of zones.

Division of City into Zones. In order to classify, regulate, restrict, and separate the use of land, buildings and structures and to regulate and limit the type, height, and bulk of buildings and structures in the various districts and to regulate the areas of yards and other open areas abutting and between buildings and structures and to regulate the density of population, the City is divided into the following zones:

A. Residential zones shall be as follows:

RR-A through
RR-C residential rural zone;
RS-1 residential single-family 1
zone;
RS-2 residential single-family 2
zone;
RS-3 residential single-family 3
zone;
RS-4 residential single-family 4
zone;
RS-7 residential single-family 7
zone;
RC residential condominium
zone;
RA residential apartment zone.

B. Commercial zones shall be as follows:

CO commercial office zone;
CN commercial neighborhood
zone;
CB communitybusiness zone;
CG commercialgeneral zone.

C. Special purpose zones shall be as follows:

MHP mobile homepark zone;
PRD planned residential
development zone;
PC planned communityzone;
HC hospital campus zone;
PF public facilities zone;
OS-R open space – recreation zone;
OS-
RM
open space – resource
management zone.

17.06.020 Adoption of zones – Zoning map.

A. Adoption of Zones. The several zones and boundaries of the zones set out in this chapter are established and adopted by this title as shown, are delineated and designated on the “official zoning map” of the City, which map, together with all notations, references, data, zone boundaries, and other information thereon, is made a part of this title and is adopted concurrently with this title.

B. Filing. A copy of the zoning map shall be kept on file with the City Clerk and shall constitute the official record.

C. Changes to Zoning Map. Changes in the boundaries of the zones shall be made by ordinance and shall be reflected on the official zoning map. (Ord. 481 § 2, 1997; Ord. 113 § 1 (Exh. A 1.3(B – D)), 1983) Home Previous Next
