12.8.5 Changes that Adversely Affect Property Income

HUD Multifamily Accelerated Processing (MAP) Guide, HUD Handbook 4430.G (2020 ed., rev. Mar. 19, 2021) · 2026 edition · updated 2026-10-05 · United States

A. Changes that adversely affect property income are a basis for change order rejection, except where it is a necessary change order and the situation is unavoidable. HUD staff must adequately document the analysis and decision showing that the change resulted in less property income. If the estimated reduction in property income would result in a reduced mortgage amount, the change order must be submitted to the Regional Production Director for review and approval. (See Section 12.10 and Section 12.11 below.)
