7.6 Appraisal Requirements

A. The Development of the appraisal must comply with USPAP Standards Rule 1, the Scope of Work Rule, and assignment conditions outlined throughout this MAP Guide. The report shall be in a narrative format, comply with USPAP Standards Rule 2, and contain all of the information necessary for loan underwriting and for the reviewer to easily understand the reasoning employed by the appraiser. Standard Rule 2 does not dictate the form, format, or style of real property appraisal reports. The form, format, and style of a report are functions of the needs of the client and intended users. The substantive content of a report determines its compliance.
